Acknowledgment

The Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him..."
                                               -Proverbs 3:5-6


I have known The Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen through a foundation promoting his cause for beatification. I have received many articles about this humble Servant of God. I remember one story about him.

He was one of the great preachers of the 20th century. He has Television and Radio program entitled "Life is Worth Living" which won various awards in media in the United States/ In one award giving ceremony, he stood with other media personalities like Bob Hope, Johnny Carson and the others. All of them as their received the awards thanked their sponsors and writers.

When it was the turn of the good Archbishop to receive the awards and gave his message, he said; "I want to thank my sponsors, too and my writers. Thank you Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul."

Witty it may sound but he underscored a point. He was able to bring the message to people. Glory is due only to the Word of God!

Lord, thank you for your Word. Thank you for the wisdom. Thank you for everything. Amen.
