The Wiper and The Rain

The wiper clears the windshield.

"Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds." -Titus 2:14 (NASB)

One rainy evening when Mark Tayo was driving me home and as I was watching the movement of the wiper as it clears the windshield, I suddenly thought of something.

The rain is like sin and the wipers are like God wiping away our sins. As the rain kept on coming, I also thought that indeed man keeps on sinning, too, but God keeps on forgiving us.

May this truth encourage us not to be afraid to ask God's forgiveness. WE avail of the Holy Sacrament of Confession and there we will experience the love of God that wipes away our sins.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for always forgiving us. For always embracing us with your love and mercy. Amen.
