Teacher of Love

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta
"...let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions." -1 John 3:18 (NLT)

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta when visited Venezuela went to thank a family who had given the Missionaries of Charity a lamb.

When she came to the house of the family, she found out that the couple had a badly crippled child.

Mother Teresa asked the mother what is the name of the little boy.

"What do you call him at home?" she asked.

The mother of the crippled boy replied:

"We call him 'teacher of love' because he keeps on teaching us how to love every moment of our lives. Everything we do for him is our love for God in action."

Indeed, we need to love our brothers and sisters if we really love God.

Prayer:

Lord, help us to love others as we love you. Amen.
