Trying Hard to live a Holy Life. Photo taken by Fr.Brigido Casas. |
"Whatever you do, work heartily..." -Colossians 3:23 (ESV)
I read from a CD case cover of the Album of Frs. Jeffrey Quintela and Rock Berdos both from the Diocese of Antipolo the following:
Trying Hard...Have we ever pondered and truly reflected on these words? To try hard is to exert effort to make better, if not to perfect something. Be it a craft, a skill, a talent or even human trait.
To try hard takes too much perseverance and determination in order to achieve perfection.
To try hard means to give your best shot for a change.
Although, the words sometimes solicit a negative reaction but in reality we are all trying hard in everything we do. We do not try hard to change for the worst. Right?
Instead we try hard to change for the better, if not the best that we can be.
Don't we all try hard to be good to others and to be closer to God?
There's nothing wrong in trying hard.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to try harder this time. Amen.
